Kinta opens area playoffs, Stigler, Quinton head to regionals

UPDATE: The OSSAA announced that all playoff games have been pushed back a day. Class 2A, 3A regionals and Class B area playoffs will start Friday. All games listed below will be the same time as scheduled on Friday. The regional and area consolation second round will be Saturday. Regional final rounds and the area consolation finals will be Monday.

Stigler's hoops squads, as well as Quinton's boys, see the tests for which they prepared with rigorous regular-season scheduled in tough regional first-round matchups. Also, Kinta starts in the area playoffs. Here's a look at the matchups.

Class 3A regional at Keys

Stigler girls (7-16) vs. Kansas (19-4, ranked seventh in Class 3A) 6:30 p.m.

Stigler boys (9-13) vs. Sperry (14-9, ranked 13th in Class 3A) 8 p.m.

Kinta girls (21-7, ranked 10th in Class B) vs. Timberlake (18-8, ranked 17th in Class B) 3:30 p.m.
